Dow Reichhold Specialty Latex LLC is devoted to the betterment of the communities where we live and work. One of the ways we invest in our communities is to support our employees who donate money or goods to worthwhile causes, or volunteer their time and talent to help their community.

Educating our youth is a key to continued prosperity, and Dow Reichhold employees at all levels of the company are committed to developing the next generation of our work force. Through the Research Triangle Sciences and Mathematics Partnership, North Carolina employees promote math and science in schools by judging science fairs and helping develop lesson plans for the classroom.

Chickamauga and Cheswold employees are actively involved in school programs, too. In Cheswold, volunteers participate in judging science fairs and give their time to mentor students in schools, providing academic help and positive role models to young children. In Chickamauga, Georgia, our employees have even adopted a school. Students visit us to learn about the world of work, and we visit them to help them learn more about careers. We also contribute financially, donating supplies and funding field trips.

Community safety is a concern, too. That's why we support local first responders in our communities. At both Cheswold and Chickamauga, we give financial support to local volunteer fire departments. In Chickamauga, we also host annual disaster drills, helping raise the level of response in an emergency. In Cheswold, employees are active members of both the local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC). Local firefighters are involved in site visits, incident pre-planning exercises and drills.

Dow Reichhold employees support a range of charitable activities, too:
  • Our Research Triangle Park headquarters facility achieved a 100% match for employee contributions. In fact, our employees received the Triangle United Way Chairman's Award in the most recent campaign.
  • For the past two years, Delaware employees have made Dow Reichhold the largest corporate contributor to the Food Bank of Delaware Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, providing holiday dinners to needy residents.
