Each employee has a responsibility to ensure that our products and operations meet applicable government or Dow Reichhold standards - whichever is more stringent.

Safety
Through our parent companies, Dow Reichhold is committed to Responsible Care®, a voluntary initiative within the global chemical industry. We hold ourselves responsible to safely handle our products from inception in the research laboratory, through manufacture and distribution, to ultimate disposal, and to involve the public in our decision-making processes.
In our own operations, we are committed to aggressive corporate goals for reducing EH&S incidents. In our first year, employees cut time lost from accidents by more than half.
Environment
Reducing emissions is an important part of our EH&S initiative.
In Cheswold, Delaware, an increase in Thermal Oxidizer operation time has helped reduce VOC emissions.
By using more natural gas instead of fuel oil for burner operations we have significantly reduced nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions, along with particulate matter.
